Tomorrow we leave for Washington. Everything seems to have come together. We have a lift to Washington with someone called Terri. We're meeting her(we're assuming it's a woman) at the last station on the A train at the top of Manhattan.

We have to be there at 7am tomorrow so we should be in Washington by midday, we're not planning to stay the night there. Over the past week we've spent a lot of money and another night in a big city is only going to add to this. Once in Washington we have a drive away car that we need to drop of in Denver, Colorado, on Tuesday. 5 days, 2000 odd miles, it's doable.

Yesterday we spent a lot of the day sorting out our travel arrangements for tomorrow then went up the Empire State Building. Stunning views of New York. After the Empire State Building it was already quite late, most of the site seeing stuff was closed so we headed down to Wall Street to check out the financial district and the water front.

Today we toured the Natural History Museum and the Guggenheim art Gallery. One of my highlights of my whole time here in New York has to be the cruise we took around the statue of Liberty and Manhattan island. We set off at sunset and sailed round the Statue of Liberty just as the sun was setting. We returned to Manhattan in the dark. The way it was lit up made it look amazing. I will upload some of the pictures I took when I can get to a place that will let me do it. Me and Lewis managed to fit the footy in in between all our site seeing. $20 to watch it and a crappy result. Oh well.

We've been really busy here, going out and getting up early; seeing, doing, sorting, organising, and walking, lots of walking.

I'm sad to leave New York. We've had such a great time here and it's such a brilliant city. It just feels exciting all the time, and the people are so friendly and helpful. So many people have stopped to help us, all you need to do is pull out a map on the subway and someone will come up and help you get where you're trying to go.
