Decided to do the tourist bus thing again in Edinburgh. Interesting trip around the main sights, culminating in a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Did a bit of a self-guided tour (with commentary on headsets). Stopped to watch the One O'clock gun being fired (which still surprised some fellow tourists!) Bit of lunch at a cafe, then continued looking at many of the exhibits in and around the castle, including the 'Honors of Scotland - Scottish Crown Jewels. After the visit, we headed for the car, then onto the highway bound for Newcastle. Met up with Chris and Maureen after checking into our hotel. Had dinner on the Quayside (Tapas - yum) and saw the Millennium bridge raised for a boat to go through. Retired for the evening.
