After checking out of the hotel in Blackpool, it was a quick stop at the supermarket before heading north. Decided to detour en route to Glasgow via the Lakes District. Traveled into Windemere in the quite heavy rain and low cloud, so not a lot of the scenery was visible which was a little disappointing. Stopped off at 'Beatrix Potter World' for a quick tour which was quite interesting. Through some more of the area in which there were glimpes of the rolling hills and the lakes, but not really the weather for sightseeing so we headed back onto the main drag and zipped up to Glasgow. Found our hotel and booked in.
