Leaving Barcelona today, travelled to Avignon via a (slight!) detour to
Carcassonne.  No parking in the official car parks, but managed to
score a great park in a quiet back-street.  Walked up to the castle and
toured the Medieval castle and cute tiny-streeted village.  Great views
from the battlements over the surrounding town and district.  Back into
the car and a squirt down the freeway (@ about 125) to Avignon, and
campsite on the Ille de Barthelase, in the centre of the Rhone River. 
Walk along the river after tea . . .
