Leaving Paris today. Packed up camp and drove to the Palace of
Versailles. Hot standing in the sun, and the queue was a mile long, so
didn't go inside, looked at the gardens instead. Decided to make a
move for the countryside, so punched a campsite in the Loire valley
into the GPS and away we went. Saw another big supermarket complex on
the way so stocked up on wine (oh and food ;-0). Trusted the GPS and
had set it to avoid tollways so as to see more of the countryside and
we sure did! Lots of of quaint little villages with very narrow
streets! Trying to navigate through Chartres to get to the cathedral,
nearly ran over a gendarme (policeman) at a zebra crossing ( he was
quite nice about it), so decided not to tempt fate any more and pressed
on! Arrived at camp at about 7ish.
