Rijksmuseum, Dam Square, Anne Frankhuis, and grocery shopping.
All but the Grocery Shopping are highlighted in the photo descriptions. I can say the grocery shopping is good. Good meats, wonderful produce, including perfect, sweet, berries bursting with flavour. Although I found restaurants there to be quite a bit more expensive than here, groceries are fairly comparable, and dairy products are even cheaper. Perhaps it is the heavy subsidization of food that keeps the prices so favourable compared to everything else. Or perhaps I need to stop shopping at Co-op. After a lenghty day wandering around Amsterdam, we buy oodles of food, stuff them all around Roel in his stroller then walk back to our home at the top of the spiral stairs. We have bought far too much food, having to discard too much for my comfort when we finally leave for home. In the meantime, we eat well after our first day of exploring Amsterdam: a tasty Dutch meal prepared by Gary that includes thick sausages.
