After spending a couple of days in bed at our hostel with a very sore throat, where I barely could eat and drink, Line and I drove to the hospital an evening, so they could check what was wrong.
On the way there we got lost and ended at the children's hospital. From there we walked a long way before ending at a library. There they showed us the right way, but said it was quite a walk, and asked if I could handle it?
Finally we came to the right place, and went to the receptionist to ask if they could check what was wrong. First she wanted all my insurance informations. It took forever and I was getting more and more dizzy, so in the end, I had to go and lie down, and Line took care of the rest.
Then we waited for about one and half an hour before they called my name. As we went in a nurse sat me in a chair to check my tempature and pulse. My temparture was 39.4 or something, and my pulse was way too high, so the machine started to bip. In the mean time, the nurse had left, so Line and I sat alone in the hall with this biping sound, and didn't know what to do.
After a while the nurse came back, and took my to another room, where they looked in my throat, and gave me a pill, that would take away the pain. Then they wanted to take a bloodsample, but at first the nurse couldn't find my vein, because I was so dehydrated. (I hadn't had more than a glass of water that day.) She pocked me a couple of times, before she had to give up and call in a doctor. She took it in the first try - Luckily!
After that they gave me a drop, so I could get some water.
Then she said that she thought that there might be some water in my lungs, so she send me to get a x-ray. Before I could get that, they needed a urin sample to check if I was pregnant. (This is the second time on this trip people think I'm pregnant! Hehe) When the urinsample came back negative I got the x-ray taken. Luckily, there was no water, but they still wanted to keep me overnight in order to give me some more water.
Then an hour later or so, while I had been waiting for a spare bed, the doctor came back with some pills, and said I could go home, because they didn't have any empty beds.
One our way back to the car, we got lost again, and as we took an elevator, it got stuck! Hehe. Just not my day! But in the end we managed to come home.
