September 5th:today I left Jakarta and took a train to Bogor. Bogor, 60km from Jakarta, is most famous for it's botanical gardens, known as the Kebun Raya (Great Garden), covering an area of around 80 hectares. After a fine lunch at Jongko Ibu I went to see the botanical gardens
September 6th: we left Bogor ar 9:15 and drove to a Gong factory where Gongs and other Gamelan instruments are smelted over a charcoal fie in the small workshop out the back. We also visited Pak Dase who makes quality wooden puppets at his wayang golek workshop. We crossed the Puncak Pass and reached Garut via Cianjur and Bandung. I'am glad that we don't stay in Bandung which is a big city with lots of industries.
