This morning we got up at 3.30am!!! We had booked a tour to the geysers. It took us two hours to get up there at over 4000m and when we got out of the minibus you had to put all layers of clothes on that you had. It was minus 12 degrees!! So here came my gloves handy but even then I had cold hands.
You could get really close to the geysers, compared to what I have experienced in Rotorua in New Zealand. It was a fasinating site especially as the sun just came up over the mountains. We also visited a hot spring in which you could hve a swim, but not me. On the way back we stopped at a village wiht adobe buildings and a lovely church. We tried llama skewers, but I must admit it was nothing special, a bit tough too.
