We arrived in Cody in late afternoon, settled in to our hotel, then left for registration. The rest of the day we spent at the Holiday Inn (site of the convention). After dinner we went to the local Walmart to get a few necessary items for our room (laundry soap, FRUIT --see, I listened, Kate!-- and other items. Once we returned to the room we got laundry ready to be washed tomorrow morning. Maybe tomorrow we can explore the area more closely and share the flavor of this Western, but artsy, town
Joan -- We had a nice relaxing ride to Cody today. We decided not to go through the Beartooth Pass and do it later in the week... we were just to tired. While we were still at the hotel in Billings, Ty noticed that the reflector around my HID lamp had popped off and was resting inside the headlight assembly. She tried to open it up to get at it but the assembly was sealed with silicone. I think it will be a warranty fix. I need to find a dealer to do an oil change and check the wobble in the steering.
We had a great room and it was really nice to relax for the morning. It's only a short trip to Cody. Sure is a pretty ride for most of it. We stopped and took some pictures along the road. Lots of ranches... big ranches. They need to be. A lot of the land is not very green. I'm looking forward to seeing my Motor Maid friends when we arrive in Cody.
