Ty- We spent an extra night with Margie and her wonderful family. We were instructed by Margie to take care of her sister! We finally got on the road around 9ish. Jamie led the pack followed by Joan and then I was at the end. Heading down Lincoln, Jamie lost a bungie....  I avoided it as it was bouncing on the road. Joan caught up to Jamie and had her pull over so her load could be checked. Everything was still fairly tight so we continued on. We got up to the 30 and headed West. When we stopped for gas, Jamie and Joan repacked a few things on Jamie's bike, including little Luna. I will leave that part of the story to Jamie or Joan to fill in.

We have been blessed with beautiful weather to ride in. Heavy traffic at times has been a bit of a bother. We have not yet been totally successful getting the CB running for Jamie but we haven't given up yet. Jamie and Joan will give you the rest of the story...

Joan - Ok... so Jamie is new at this... loading a bike is a new concept :-)  She was using a bungie cord to hold her new little guitar, Luna, down on the bike.... when whap!!!! the darned thing snapped back and warned her to be careful.  No, real damage to her chin... just her pride ;-)

LATER THAT EVENING.... Jamie's bike quit a few times as we stopped for gas.  We rolled into a truck stop to figure out what was going on and her bike died completely.  Ty bought some booster cables and a trucker helped out with some tools.  I went to the Comfort Inn and booked us a room.  It was getting late anyway.  The manager was a fun guy and very helpful.  I asked him about being able to charge Jamie's bike and he suggested she could do it near the front door.  They were able to boost Jamie's bike and we rode behind the trucker's rest area instead of out on the road, just to be safe.  Jamie put her bike on trickle charger near the front door of the hotel for overnight.  It was good to stop for the night.

Great pictures! Thanks! :)

Love the pictures, glad to see them, even though a few of the Taco Bell ones make Jamie look like the offspring of mating between a space alien and a rugby player.... Last one is beautiful!

Why is everyone so bundled up? It's summer!
