This was a strange day to say the least. I was up early for no unknown reason (except that Joe was snoring so loud I think he woke the dead) as I went to bed very late. The campground had karoke last night and I even got a chance to sing. We both felt totally wasted today. Just a note here Joe and I do not drink, smoke or do drugs. We have only good clean fun. We started out with high hopes of putting on some big miles today but only made it to the first town Rapid City. We stopped at Walmart for some meds as Joe was begnning to feel a cold coming on. The next thing we knew a major storm was coming over the mountain range. You could actually see it about 20 miles away coming fast. So we checked out some motels and settled into the Motel 6. We unloaded our bikes and just got them covered when it started raining cats and dogs. Lightening and major thunder. Joe slept through it all. Went to dinner at Arnolds. Looks just like the stuff from Happy Days. Had something other than burgers which we have pretty much lived on during Sturgis. We had spaghetti and meatballs. Great food and beautiful place.
