We got a late start today as usual. It was for good reason though. I had to get pictures uploaded and update the blog. It was colder today and looked like it was going to rain. As we moved north toward Minnesota it cleared up. Still was a bit cold. We did see some interesting wind mills. I had done a lot of work with a company that worked with wind mills so it was interesting to see them more or less up close. I got some pictures and may even have some video I can post.
We Tried to make it to Sturgis but since we got such a late start we didn't get there. We did meet up with some bikers in MN and they rode with us. I got a pic of them outside one of our rest stops. We made it as far as Chamberlin, SD. The first hotel we stopped at was booked but we found another called the Oasis Inn that had rooms. It was a nice place. We will make Sturgis for sure tomorrow. it's only about 250 miles away.

Today is Wednesday. We got to the hotel very late last night, or should I say early this morning, as we tried to find one but the area we were in all the hotels and motels were filled with victims of the flood last month and the relief and emergency workers. So we rode and we rode and we rode about an additional 100 miles to find a place that had a room. We settled in around 3 am which would be 4 am PA time because we crossed the time line into Central time. Our phones automatically changed the time but we had to change our watches ourselves. We literally fell into bed and a coma like sleep. It was a good days ride considering all the problems we encountered earlier and the late start. So far today it is overcast and very windy. Having a little problems keeping the bikes going in a straight line. We did stop and take pics of a windmill farm here in Iowa. Probably 100 or more. Really huge windmills. Felt like Don Quixote. Now heading to Mn.We will be adding some awesome pics to the site tonight. Wait until you see the full sized Corvette mounted to the wall in the Quaker Steak and Lube. WOW
