The weekend of pro volleyball action at Scarborough Beach culminated this afternoon in the Womens and Mens Finals! Reaching the Womens Finals were Marie-Andre Lessard and Sarah Maxwell of Canada and Stephanie Pohl and Okka Rau of Germany! Except for the maple syrup I had on my pancakes recently, watching the Canadians battle it out in the finals has been the closest we've been to anything Canadian in WA!
It was an exciting game but in the end, the Germans must've spent more time practicing while the Canadians may have spent more time surfing as the Germans won in two straight sets! Regardless, the Canadians served us proud to have reached the finals! As a consolation prize, the Canadian team won the prize for the prettiest team
Sarah Goes Up For A Block !
!The Mens Finals had Joshua Slack and Andrew Schacht of South Australia playing David Kemperer and Eric Koremy of Germany! Although the Aussie team had the crowd support behind them, it was the Germans who made it a double this afternoon by winning in two straight sets!
Prior to the game, fans were given Crocs clappers to help them cheer and make noise! In the end, we were entertained to some great volleyball on another Beautiful day in WA!
