This afternoon, Russell Woolf, the on air DJ for Radio 720 Am as well as ABC television Perth was at Scarborough's amphitheatre from 4-6pm to celebrate their launch of a 2 CD Set of Perth's Best Driving Songs! Songs of the 60's, 70's and 80's were amplified throughout Scarborough beach. One could see a few Herring and Seagulls dancin' in the Indian Ocean. They were joined by a few couples later on!
In addition to Russell Woolf's presence, the band "Peace Love And All That Stuff", starring lead singer Todd Johnston played some of Perth's best Drivin songs from 6-8pm. Many of the songs are featured on the double CD. These drivin' songs were voted by listeners of Perth 720 Am as their favourites. With the afternoon temperature reaching 29 Celcius and the Indian Ocean as a back drop, Todd and his band played the audience's favourites right till sunset! Where else can you have this experience?
