Arrived here just on lunch time, booked in, had some lunch and went to visit the village of Avoca. It is only 6 km from here. The village of Avoca was the location for the TV series, Ballykissangel. We did not watch the show so nothing was familiar but it is a nice village just the same. Also in Avoca is the old Handweavers Mill, still in operation today and a fantastic place to visit. It is only a small family business but is doing very nicely thank you
The park we are staying at is very nice, it has two sections, one section for families with kids and one section ( which they call the secret garden ) for adults only. Bet you cannot guess which section we are parked in. All I can tell you is, that so far no children have entered the secret garden to talk to us. Very nice .
Tomorrow we will drive to the railway station not too far from here and catch the train to Dublin. We will probably do a hop on , hop off tour, it takes you to the Guinness Brewery , entry there does include a pint of stout, so the bus will be the better option as Rick will have to drink mine as well.
Lovely day today and looking forward to tomorrow. Join us in Dublin.
