Walked back to Charlie after lunch, she was waiting patiently for us again and drove around the country roads. today we found some realy narrow ones and almost prayed that no cars would come towards us. Had to reverse to a wider part at one stage to let the other car pass us. We saw a sign that said Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill so did a lefty and drove 4km into the depth of the country to see it. We thought we were on the wrong road as it looked like someones drive way but no there it was in front of us. The Mill has been owned by the same family since 1912 and is still in operation today. Most of the fabrics woven are traditional to Wales and many of the designs are unique to this mill. Inside it still displays the original leather belt and pulley system that once drove all the machines at the mill. Of course more sofisticated machinery is used today.
This part of Wales has some beautiful scenery, we are glad we spend some time here and experience just a little bit of it. Traveling further north tomorrow to the Sowdonia region for a few days. Meet you at the pub for a pint.
