20/7/2012--I remember the Beatles song " Taking a trip down to Abergavenny " so as we were very close to there we stopped and had a little look around. The beatles also played 1 concert in Abergavenny. The museum still displays the photos and posters of their visit. The town itself is  very old. It also has remains of a castle which we visited. Parking is always a problem in these places and is never made easy because Charlie is a little bigger than the average car. We found a part empty car park about half a km from the town so walked back into town to have a look. Just as we got to town it started raining, our brullies were in the car so sheltered in the shop front door. Did not take long for it to pass. Next stop was another little town called Brecon. It lies on the edge of a national park. We did not go into the national park and the town itself was not very impressive and lacked character. Made that one a quick visit. Back in Charlie again and drove to our destination for the night, LLandovery. Do not ask me how that is pronounced, don't know how to get my tongue around the LL. We ended up in a lovely little park, clean , neat and very modern facilities. Nice spot as well. In a very shor time we were set up and went for a walk into the village. A lovely place with lots of history to read about. All in all a  nice place to stay for the night.
21/7/2012-- Woke up this morning, it was very cold and was not easy to get out of bed. It was cold enough to get the heater out and plug it in. Ahhhh that was better. Our trip today was just to go to our next destination which was only an hour and a half away. It was a scenic way and I must say, Wales has some very beautiful countryside. The fact that the sun was shining helped a lot. This little town is famous for its salmon fishing. It has falls where the salmon tried to jump up stream once a year. We are a little early for that but it was still nice to look at the area. Also the town is historic and has a vast history with the little boats they call coracles, these are one man boats which they used to carry on their shoulders to the water, and did all their fishing in them. Lots of remimders in the town of that . A very historic place which is now full of cafe's and eateries. Nice to walk through though and easy as well. The park is lovely, only 29 sites, nice facilities and once again the sun was out today. Had a nice chat this evening to the couple parked next door to us and have been invited to visit their home when we get to Yorkshire.
Tomorrow we are going for a drive around this area and will come back here for one more night.
A good day today, even managed to sit in the sun for a little while and feel a bit of warmth. Great stuff
