Yesterday we left our little bit of paradise in Luarca and made tracks for our return to France. Did thoroughly enjoy our few days in Luarca , a beautiful little village in a very attractive spot. could have stayed there a lot longer but time is running out for us here in Europe, pretty soon we have to cross the channel again.
Our overnight stop yesterday was Loredo, a coastal town with lots of holiday units but once again not many people around. It almost looked deserted and am sure that it is feeling the pinch with the lack of money available. A liitle sad to see as it is a nice little spot with great opportunities , if only
On the road again early this morning, our main aim was to get across the border into France, which we did. Stopped in this little place called Souston which is in the country and very close to the beach. The journey to here took us through Basque country which is stunning to go through, and the scenery is out of this world. Sadly enough the area is very industrialised and the smog is unvelievable to see. Of course all this is in the valleys and the dirty air just hangs around for ever. So sad to see because it is a beautiful area. We kept looking at each other and asked ourselves the question " why has Julia imposed a carbon tax on us when the pollution here is out of control. Most of Spain is like that though.
While I am writing this blog , the little notice that Graham March is on line keeps popping up. Just show you that he has nothing better to do than play with the computer. Bless you Graham, it was nice to talk to both of you earlier on. Miss you company every day. Enjoy your holiday in Cyprus and say hello to Rosie and Tony.
So here we are , a little cooler than what we have gotten used to but contend and happy. The park is very nice, clean facilities just missing the restaurant not being here.
On the road again tomorrow and hope to reach Tours the day after.
A good day and looking forward to tomorrow.
