After a leisurely breakfast of fresh baguette and tea we walked down to the village again. Scored a lift with one of the caravanners here so were in town quick. Walked around to the harbour and watched some of the boats come in and drop their catch off. Also went in the fish market itself, it is only little but lots of fresh fish available. If only they would fillet it for us, we would have bought some but, I still don't know what to do with a whole fish beside put it on the BBQ wrapped in foil. Having to clean it would be another drawback. Never mind found a cafe instead and bought a coffee. Our main purpose for our visit was to find the supermarket and buy a few groceries to get us by for the next couple of days
. also bought some postcards and stamps. We did not know where to buy the stamps because there is no post office as such that we could find. Asked the policeman who could not speak any English, so had to play charades once more and gesture the task.Pretty easy, just show him the postcard, pretend to put a stamp on it and slip it in the post box. Yes he knew what we meant and proceeded to tell us where we had to go.. A lot of Spanish gibber later , he also had to gesture, and showed us where we could buy them. It seemed near the church which he portrayed to us by putting his hands together and pray and bend his knees. Ah yes gracias senor, adios. Found everything ok, did our shopping and walked the 20 minutes or so back up the hill to Charlie.Charlie is getting her front end polished at the moment , keeps the crap from sticking says Rick. Tomorrow we are on the road again. It will take us a few days to get to France but we have the time. We hope to go to Tours for a visit, that will definitly be our last city in Europe. Have heard a lot of good things about it so we will give it a go.
A nice and easy day today, we are rested and looking forward to the rest of our time in Europe
We slept in this morning due to the fact that it is darker longer here on the north coast compared to what we have had the last couple of weeks further south. Also it is a little cooler in the mornings as well. Still very nice all the same. Had a Skype call from Ingrid first thing this morning, it was great to talk to her again and find that all is going well with everyone. Thanks Ingrid will catch up again soon.
