Where I stayed
Camping Les Erables
Funny part about our stay here is that the weather has been sooooo bad but it has not mattered too much. Our stay here has still been good and we have both had a good rest ,and met some very nice people as well. The forecast for tomorrow is the same as today but we are back on the road tomorrow and heading south to Azille.
Sorry Ingrid no photos this time, will try better next time.
So here we are in Millau, a nice place when the weather is good. Come to think of it every place is nice when it isn't raining. When we first came here on Saturday it was windy but dry. Woke up Sunday morning with the pitter patter of rain drops falling on the roof. Never mind we planned to have an easy day anyway. Stayed inside most of the day and read our kindles. It started to clear up in the middle of the afternoon and we went for a walk around this area. Gosh there is some lovely scenery around here , never get tired of looking at it. Of course the rain started falling again and we had to hurry back to Charlie. Once in the park we stopped to talk to another British couple parked here. As we were all getting a bit wet talking to each other, we were invited to their caravan and share a drink. Four hours , and a few wines later we made it back to Charlie. The evening lasted longer than we intended but a good time was held by all and a promise to do it all again the next day, hopefully in better weather conditions. It did not rain all night, but by 9am down it came again and has not let up at all today. We escaped and walked to town this afternoon. Silly really, we were huddled under our brullies trying to avoid the puddles at the same time. Made us laugh anyway, and it was nice to get out and stretch your legs. Could not even sit outside anywhere and have a coffee, just too wet and cold. Yes the temperature did not exceed 12 degrees today, but we had our trusty heater going so were pretty comfy here. Our British friends invited us again to share a bit of time with them and partake in a drink or two. Obviously they felt that Charlie was not big enough for the four of us and that is why they preferred for us to visit them. Don't feel bad Charlie, we think you are just great. Had a very pleasant evening with Paul and Pat and are now sitting here back home watching a TV show with all French dialogue which we cannot understand but keep looking at it anyway
