Camping Alpes Dauphine
Not a lot to write, we will let the photo's tell the story.
No wifi yesterday so have posted yesterday's blog today. Just go back one and all will be revealed to you. Left Annercy at about 9.30am, we thought the traffic should have thinned out by then. All good at first, then roadworks up ahead. It took us 20 minutes to travel 200 metres but eventually we got going. Yes Ingrid your Dad can now swear in French as well. He is such a patient man, I am almost in awe of him. Not too bad really and I must admit I lost my patience as well. It was just a very beautiful drive today, snow capped mountains along the way with some fantastic valleys to lokkd down on.. It was not easy driving for Rick today, so many bends and up and down hilly roads. We did hit the toll roads a few times as it would have taken too long to take the minor roads all the time. Stopped at a few small villages to have a little look around. One village called St Jullien Beauchine really caught our attention as it was in the middle of nowhere and on the main drag. We parked Charlie and crossed the road to have a little look. Just perfect to look at and walk around in. People actually live there, how, we do not know as everything is so old and difficult to get at. As per usual the church is situated on the top of the hill and dominates the skyline.. Just perfect. A lovely scenic day driving. It has been very cool but sunny, well we are in the Alps after all. At the moment I am writing this blog in the park's cafe , having a coffee. It is just to cold to sit outside and do this. The park is good, once again has only re-opend recently and is getting ready for the season.
