Arrived at the caravan park during their quiet time, we chose to stay and wait here at the gate
. Just made a cuppa and some lunch when the owner came and asked us if we would like to book in. She is a lovely person and made us feel so very welcome. She is originally from Morocco and speaks perfect English and Dutch. The park itself is excellent , clean neat and hot showers. Best part is that they only charged us 12 euros per night and free wifi. Great deal and lots of friendly service. I would recommend this park to anyone travelling along this way.
Tomorrow we will be catching the bus to the city of Luxembourg and have a good look around the city. The bus is across the road from here, easy peasy. Just sitting here listening to the church bells ring, nice to hear.
Rick is having a chat to the owner, it seems she was once married to a Moroccan fellow but he started telling her what to wear and what to do.( You see she is Muslim. Once he told her to stop wearing jeans she got fed up and walked out on him. Her summory of it all is that, a pair of jeans ruined her marriage. Very funny.
The sun is shining now and a glass of red is waiting. good times.
Wet and a little windy this morning, never mind we were packing up anyway and heading for Luxembourg. Not a very long way to go, only 145km but once again we were going the back roads so it would take us a little longer to get there. We soon noticed when we came to the border of Holland and Belgium , the scenery and road conditions changed dramatically, boring Belgium did not let us down , nothing much to look at and the scenery was pretty plain. Of course the fact that it was raining rather heavy did not help any at all. We were doing ok driving wise and Basil guided us well, however we came across some road works and detours which threw everything out of whack and we got hopelessly lost for a while. Basil could not get us out of it this time, he kept directing us to the same spot each time. Rick decided that we would follow signs that would take us to the freeway. Found that ok and drove the rest of the way on the freeway.
