Sunny this morning, hooray, it looks like a nice day coming up. drank a quick cuppa first than it was time for me to give Rick a haircut. He was starting to look like Ringo Starr with all that long hair and could not wait to have it cut. Now if he had started to look like Paul Mc Cartney I would have refused to take the scissors to his hair. Never mind it all went well and he was a happy chappy again. Managed to talk to Ingrid and Suzi this morning on Skype. Good to see you both look so well girls, sorry we got cut off but the internet dropped out. Tried to get you back but no luck, good to talk to you for that little while anyway.
This morning we headed for the Dutch province of Limburg and it's capital city Maastricht. Limburg is that funny little appendage stuck to the eastern side of the country. Once again Basil took us to some nice country roads, but only for a half hour or so. than it was back on the freeway for 110km to get to our destination for the night. We were travelling close to the German border most of the time. Due to improvements on the freeway, which our Garmin had not registered yet, we did as we were told and drove straight ahead. What we did not know was that we should have veered to the right and Basil did not know this either so did not direct us. After about 10 minutes I said to Rick " It looks like we are in Germany" soon found out that indeed we were on the wrong path. Turned right of the freeway and let Basil find our way back onto the right path. Talk about country hopping, we nearly got confused as to what language we should be speaking. Oh yes, as if we could do that.
The caravan park we are staying at is in a small village named Berg en Terblijt. A lovely park with all new facilities. It is close to the village with enough shops for us to restock our supplies again. Also the bus stop is only 100 metres from here ,so in the morning we will catch the bus to Maastricht and have a good look around the city. Best part of the day was that late this afternoon we could sit in the sun for a while. Rick got very ambitious and put some shorts on, that brought a smile to his face.
We are parked next to a couple from Hull England, had a nice chat with them, they are heading home again after travelling through Europe for the last 6 weeks.
We had a good day today and are looking forward to tomorrow
