To everyone getting worried because we have not been able to write anything on the travelpod, all I can say ,yes we are back on line at last. Problem was not being able to get internet where we stayed in Holland. My cousin is not on line as such. We did try to purchase mobile internet but that is good if you stay in the one country, but as soon as you go to another country you have to do it all again or go on roaming. Much to expensive, also your sim card is blocked with a particular company. All too difficult. So here we are , all good and back on line. I have posted our trip in Holland on previous entries so you will know what we have been up to. We left my cousin's place on Sat 28th , very sad as we had such a good time there but we will see them again in the not to distant future.
Yesterday we drove from Lathen , Germany to our friends home in Pinneberg. Good trip, Basil Garmin took us on some lovely country roads as well. Yes it is still very cold and wet but  we cannot do anything about it,so poke up with it. The caravan park we stayed at in Lathen was just about empty except for a few hardened Dutchmen who decided to stand in the rain and wind and do some fishing. They did not catch anything of course but had a good time eating and drinking at the same time. Our caravan site fee was 9 euros for both of us, could not believe it and asked the lady if that was per person but no for 2 and it included a voucher for a complementary drink at the restaurant. Of season rates she said.
Our friends welcomed us again with banners and streamers on their garage door. After all the hello's we sat down to a lovely cup of coffee and some cake which Marion made. Late afternoon we went for a walk into town. They had a bit of a carnaval there, lots of kids having a good time in the merry go rounds and such. Lots of stalls with gingerbread hearts. We  used to buy them in Perth when the kids were little and it reminded me of those days. Fun to walk through. An early night because we were all pretty tired. Today we are on our own , our hosts have to work today but have the rest of the week off. Gives us time to catch up with things as well.
I must add that the sun is shining today and we are actually wearing short sleeve shirts. Good to feel the sun shine on your arms again. Only good weather from now on. We will be staying here until Friday when we head back to the east side of Holland through to France.
Great times.
