The last 2 days have been all about driving and more driving. Yesterday we left our campsite in Bucine, lovely few days there but time to move on, we are running out of time. Drove along the Riviera region, very nice scenery but oh so very commercial. still a lot of people enjoy it so it can't be all bad. We decided on a campsite in Albenga area, of course it is still the holiday season here so were tucked into a little spot barely big enough for Charlie to back in. We got there in the end and as it was only for one night it realy did not matter too much. the showers were clean and that is all that matters sometimes. Walked to the local supermarket to stock up on some more supplies for the next few days. No trouble with that except have you ever tried to buy a packet of teabags in Italy. Not easy and we gave up on that task. Got all our other stuff though and some lovely bread of course. We met a couple of Aussies from Byron Bay at the campsite. It was lovely to have a chat with you girls and we will keep in touch. Don't curse Suzie Sat Nav too much will you.
Today we drove via to Millau, France. Some very special scenery along the way. Of course the coastal strip with all the familiar places like Monaco, Cannes and San Remo. Very touristy of course and huge places to see but also situated in a beautiful area. Next stop Millau. Ever since we saw the documentary of the building of the bridge at Millau it has been a must see for us. It is huge and spans over a valley. Well we were doing nicely thank you but as we came to all the new roads Basil Garmin got lost and did not how to direct us any more. We figured follow the signs in the book which unexpectantly brought us on and over the bridge. did not take enough notice of it as we were a bit anxious about Basil not working but we will do it all again tomorrow and appreciate this magnificant structure to its fullest. It realy stands out. Funnily enough as soon as we were back onto the old road Basil got going again and took us to our campsite which is lovely and quiet and close to town
