Easy morning, coffee and croissants for breakfast and another beautiful scene to look at. It has been another sunny warm day today. Getting used to this.
Regarding our points Graham, Rick wants to ask you " Are we there yet? He has been moaning for days about that bloody konker photo which he thought would attract sooooooooooooo many points, so please if you are interested in my sanity and to stop him whinging,  award him some points  and just shut him up for a couple of minutes. You have no idea how long it took me to find the second one, one was never right as you two played them together. Don't worry about Toni's pickeld konkers, we all have our problems.
Today we visited Interlaken only 18km from here. Population of only 5290 but if you include the tourists it will probably be three times that much. It is a very popular place with the backpackers here as it is a mecca for thrill seekers  ( like us ).Not extreme enough for us of course so we caught the Mount Harder Rail Car  which took us 4337 feet ( 1322 meters ) up the mountain. Simply spectacular and the views were to die for. The big deal here is the Alp Jungfrau which appears everywhere you go but from the top of Harder Kulm where we went it was a awesome view. This Alp is 13642 feet ( 4158 meters ) high with a lot of snow still on the top. Such a good view and so special to see. We realy are very blessed to be able to experience such beauty. As soon as you get to the top they offer you a complemantory glass of wine and some water. We decided to have a coffee and cake in the restaurant ( yes they have one of course ) instead. Met someone from Oz and also a couple of people from the UK. A lovely trip to the top.
Took the Rail Car back down again, a very steep journey which takes 10 minutes, than walked around the township of Interlaken a bit. The place is full of hotels which are all called the Grand  something or other. They are very nice buildings just the same. Late afternoon by now so we walked back to where we parked Charlie and drove back to the caravan park with the view to die for. Poured ourselves a drink and sat and looked at the scene. Sometimes it is hard to take in everything we see but this scene, and no doubt lots of others in our travels will always stick out in our mind. Some of them are just too hard to capture on camera and really are for that moment only.
A very lovely stay here.
Austria tomorrow, big day.

The pictures taken of Interlachen could almost go into a brochure. The trip in the cable car looks well worth it and for the photos on this part of the blog give yourself 2500 points. Willie tell Richard that if he moans again for not having points for his conkers I will deduct all that he has earned so far. I am not keeping a record so I do not know how many points have been awarded so far. However Willie for the entertainment you have given us with a really interseting blog each day and bearing in mind the hard work you have put into the blog so far I hereby award you 15000 points. Yes Richard there are three noughts after 15!!
