Mon 6th March
Once again, we caught a very familiar mode of transport the Greyhound, this time to Bryon Bay. After finding a hostel pretty close to town, it was time to have a look about. Byron Bay is much lower key than some of it neighbours. It has a relaxed atmosphere with trendy shops, lots of streetside cafes and really nice beaches not a high rise to be seen. On the way back to the hostel we had fish and chips and then watched "Pride and Predjudice" that evening.
Tues 7th March
Got up to some very sunny, hot weather today, so therefore went down to Main Beach just to relax and chill out.
We decided to treat ourselves as the local pub/cafe had deals on Tuesdays so we had a really nice lunch whilst watching people go by.
Many people had said that you should go up to the lighthouse, which is supposedly the most Easterly Point in Australia to see the Sunset or Sunrise so we took them up on their advice. After catching a taxi there, we watched the sunset across the mountains and ocean, which was very romantic. Then it was time for a fairly long walk back to town so that we could catch the overnite to Sydney. We both liked Byron Bay, it has a relaxed, chilled feel and you could spend quite some time here.
