Sat 4th March
Richard watched a couple of games of rugby before we had to check out of "The Beach House" Resort. We caught the Greyhound to Brisbane for a couple of days of sightseeing and stayed in The West End at a hostel called "Somewhere To Stay". We got settled then went for a walk around the area in the evening.
Sun 5th March
It was a pretty grey day just for a change, but armed with our waterproof jackets (plus carrier bag for Rich's cast) we set off to explore Brisbane.
We found the main shopping area straight away and looked around for a while. We saw the city hall and the Treasury Building but unfortunately some places were closed with it being a Sunday.
We walked across the bridge to the South Bank which is a trendy, young area with a lagoon and boardwalk. Saw the botanic gardens, theatres and museums. After a very tiring day we went back to the hostel for a quiet one.
