Sat 25th Feb
Left Noosa for Coolangatta after having a really relaxing week in beautiful surroundings which helped to recharge our batteries. Noosa is one of the few places we have stayed at where we had the feeling that we could spend a lot more time.
Coolangatta is at the bottom of the Gold Coast and is less high rise and developed than it's neighbour, Surfers Paradise. We checked into The Beach House Resort and I was excited to find that we had satelite tv in the apartment, so much so that I spent the next four hours watching more rugby. The evening was spent watching 'Blue Crush' which is a chick surfing movie and another game of rugby (poor Sara!)
Sun 26th Feb
Spent the morning watching a re-run of the Noosa Triathlon then Chelsea vs Portsmouth, then took a walk along Coolangatta beach to Snapper Rocks on Sara's recommendation, where we stumbled across Round 1 of the ASP Surfing World Championships which were due to start on the Tuesday.
Went to the resort gym in the evening which wasn't particularly well equipped but was our first chance to have a proper workout since we left the UK. Then spoke with Toby who was staying with my Dad who wasn't feeling very well and I felt a bit helpless being the other side of the world.
Spent evening watching 'National Treasury' and Man City vs Liverpool after speaking to Sara's Mum and Dad.
