Photos of Cesky Krumlov here:

Oh my god the suns out!!! I need to put my sunglasses on for the first time since Brugge and I'm sitting on a train from Prague to Cesky Krumlov!!
It's an old rattler of a train, but it means I get to see more of the country side as it's not speeding past at 180km/h.
Then transferred to an even slower train from Ceske Budejovice to Cesky Krumlov... and the rain is back.

Wow it's cold in Cesky Krumlov!!!

Hostel Krumlov House is awesome. More like staying in someones house than a hostel with a proper kitchen, amazingly clean everywhere and no bunk beds. Super friendly staff and cool relaxed vibe. They have a couple of guitars,a piano and didgeridoo for guests to play.

Walked around town in the rain as it might snow tomorrow so might not see things properly then.
Such a nice town. Bit like Bruges, but a bit more traffic, yet quieter at night (maybe cause it's so cold everyone is inside...).

Went to Satlavske which is an old medieval dungeon with a big flame grill in the room you first walk into and then smaller rooms off to the sides with tables and chairs.
Had the mixed grill (pork, beef and turkey) which was yummo and came with potato cake and baked potato - just in case you like potato! Had a Budwiesser and a Budweisser dark.
Also saw they had camembert cheese cooked on the grill so ordered one of them with a hot mead as an after dinner snack - AMAZING!!! Both the cheese and the mead. Perfect finish to the meal.
I thought the mead would come in a tankard like mug or a goblet/chalice type of thing, but it came in a tea cup :)
Only had room tepmerature mead before and hot is good! Perfect for the cold Cesky Krumlov weather.

Tuesday I did a tour of the Eggenberg brewery which I was lucky to get on as I wandered down whilst I had some washing on to see what times they did the tour and they only do 1 a day at 11am so jumped in on that and finished washing off later.
Tour was excellent. Rosta our guide was a crack up. They have a unfiltered and unpasteurised "Yeast Beer" that they brew there that is only available at the restuarant/pub upstairs and is pumped straight from the tanks to the tap no kegging or bottling. This one is fermented using the same yeast culture that they've been using since 1560! They also use water from the well in the brewery yard instead of tap water which is used for the other beers.
I got to drinksome of this beer straight out of the tank! Way cool!
They also have commercial beers that are bottled and kegged and shipped around town or exported.
Had 2 pints of the Yeast Beer in the restuarant after as part of the tour.

Went to Na Louzi for lunch as I was told by Sarah at Krumlov House that the fried camembert and fruit dumplings were to die for. Camembert was delicious! got 2 whole blocks of it as well as lots of potato and salad so didn't need to order the fruit dumplings as well which were yumm with a blueberry filling.

Went to the castle which was OK, but smallish for a castle. Climbing the tower and the gardens were the highlights.
Chilled back at the hostel to get out of the cold and mucked around on one of the guitars which was cool as I've been missing my guitar since I've been travelling.

Back to the Eggenberg brewery for dinner with Mikayla for more of that wonderful Yeast Beer and had dumplings stuffed with ham and onions. Bit too doughy, but tasted nice.
Few drinks at Music Bar then La Boheme afterwards. Tried Becherovka which is a Czech herbal liquer. The original is like spiced Jagermeister and the lemon one was a lot nicer. Barman at Muci Bar was kind enough to give us a small shot of each for free! Tried 7/6% Budweisser but it doesn't taste as nice as the normal 5% version. Also had a Desperado beer which is beer mixed with vodka.
Ended the night drinking Tom Collins' for some reason.

Wednesday and it's snowing a fair bit on and off all day which is good as it means you don't get as wet as when it rains!
Walked up to top of the hill behind town which was a bit muddy and cold but got some nice views. Chilled at hostel playing guitar and then went to 2 Marys for a bohemian rabbit feast with beer and hot mead. Huge meal came with boiled potatos, potato pancake and potato dumpling!! Plus rabbit, ham and millet.
Went to Zappa bar which has a well in the underground section in the middle of the room.
