This is my first entry in my travel blog for my upcoming adventure. Next Tuesday, June 23, 2009, I will be leaving the country for a six month, multi-continental journey that will include extended stays for study in Barcelona, Spain and Cairo, Egypt. In between the two (I am staying in Barcelona for 5 weeks and Cairo for 4 months, but I have a month in between the two sessions) I am going to be traveling around Europe, as I have never been across an ocean before. I currently speak Spanish well and Arabic decently. As far as French, German, Swedish, or Czech...well I guess I will just have to be a dumb tourist with a big camera when it comes to speaking those...
Anyways, I hope you remember to check back now and then for updates both as blog posts and photos. Feel free to comment suggestions on the blog if you have any ideas of where I should go, what I should do there, or if you know a good place to stay (especially if it is free!).
