Drive down to Wanaka via the Haast pass. I (Fi) did the driving today - yes I'm actually trusted, especially after Richards ticket!
Stop at Thunder Creek Falls for a look and an apple. No signal on phone down all West Coast Section, hope no-one is trying to get in touch! No radio signal either so Rich has resorted to singing - hmmm! Now where did I leave my earplugs???
Finally after we were south of Lake Hawea signal at last with a message from Gord & Trace - yipee! They are already at the Lakeview Campsite were we are booked in. Got to park and booked in, met up with them - big hugs! Both looking very well and brown, they went off to eat and we went to set up and do some shopping - more cheesy beans required, oh and milk and fruit. Met up with Gord & Trace again and set off for a walk around the lakeshore, it was very tranquil (not that we really noticed with so much gossip to catch up on!) Rich and Gord were miles in front and didnt notice we (Fi and Trace) had stopped - typical.
Went out for standard NZ fayre - yes, Indian!
