We were at sea today and we had agreed to let the girls sleep in again.  I woke up at 7 and went out to read.  I finished my book and while I was reading Nikki came out.  Scott and Cheryl had filmed the Panama Canal Crossing and Scott made us a DVD of it so we watched it.  It was really cool to see it all in time lapse...a whole 10 hours compressed into about 18 minutes.

At 9:00 we had a DVC member group photo in the Atrium so Nikki and I went down for that.  I had decided that I wanted to go to a behind the scenes tour of the Walt Disney Theater at 9:30.

After the photo we still had a few minutes so Nikki and I ran up to grab a little something for breakfast.  I had intended to get just yogurt but, they had French Toast and Corned Beef Hash and Scrambled Eggs so...I had a little more than just yogurt.  We ate and then I went off to the tour and Nikki went back to the room.

The presentation/tour was the technical staff introducing themselves and what they do in the theater and then we were allowed up onto the stage to talk one on one with the staff.  The Theater stage is amazing and covers 5 decks of the ship.  The hydraulic lifts can lift 7000 pounds of weight and, once locked in place can support 10000 pounds.  There are 80 lights that shine on the stage and are all controlled by the computer.  The stage was much bigger than I anticipated it to be and I enjoyed seeing it.

I headed back to the room and Nikki told me that there was a Cruise Trivia Game at 10:45 so we got the girls up and had them get ready for the day.  We then went down to the Promenade Lounge for the Trivia.  We could have won it I hadn't listened to the girls!

After trivia we went up to the Goofy Pool to swim and relax on the deck.  Kelsie and I got food from Pluto's Dog House, Regan got sushi from Topsiders and Nikki got pasta from a serving station on the deck. Day 14 - Beautiful Sea Day
Day 14 - Beautiful Sea Day
While we were there they showed a tour of the bridge and engine room on the Ariel View TV.

We then went down to the room so the girls could get showered for the afternoon in their clubs and Nikki and I were in the room while Nikki packed a little so that we weren't overwhelmed tomorrow night.

It was a lazy afternoon.  We went to a Pirate Scavenger Hunt Activity (disguised as a meeting to hand out maps for Castaway Cay) just before dinner.

It was the Captain's Gala tonight so we wore formal attire again.  The girls went to dinner on our regular rotation and Nikki and I had reservations at Palo.  We had arranged to eat with Scott and Cheryl.  It was a very nice evening and the food was delicious!

The show was Disney Dreams.  Regan and Kelsie went on time and we went after dinner.  Nikki got to see the new scenes.

Then it was back to the room for Kelsie, Nikki and I and Regan went to the Stack for Homecoming.

Tomorrow is our Day at Castaway Cay.
