Hello,

Hoi An is a really nice town, unless you area recovering shopaholic or have a small backpack! Every other shop is a tailors shop ready to make anything you could ever want to wear and at a cheap price, and the shops that aren't tailors are shoe shops ready to make anything you could ever want for your feet! So far I have managed to resist temptation but it hasn't been easy!

Aside from the shopping Hoi An has alot to offer, in the morning we took a trip out to My Son (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%E1%BB%B9_S%C6%A1n) which is a UNESCO world heritage site and thought to be a major ancient temple complex compared to Angkor and Ayutthaya both of which we have previously visited. Unfortunately the temples suffered very badly during the war and only a few are left standing but it is still a very nice area to visit Hoi An old town

In the afternoon we took a wander around Hoi An old town, and took advantage of an old town ticket which for just over two pounds allows you to visit a selection of museums, assembly halls, old houses and workshops. My favourite was the handicraft workshop where we saw them making wood carvings, pottery and lanterns and they even put on a musical and dancing display.
The streets have alot of atmosphere here, and it is lovely just to stroll around, especially as motos are banned from some streets making it much less hazardous!

Tomorrow we are off to another historic town, Hue.

Bye for now.
