Hello,
Phi Phi suffered very badly in the tsunami, but it has recovered quickly and the main area is quite built up now. We were round the corner of the island about a 30 minute boat ride, staying at the Phi Phi relax resort and it certainly was relaxing! Again the staff were brilliant and the food even better, Rob was still talking about a burger he had 2 weeks later!!
Tom and Rob took out one of the kayaks as there was aparently as area where you could swim with the sharks. However their plans soon changed after they capsized 3 times losing half their snorkeling gear and Tom's sunglasses! Funnily enough they actually chose the calmest day to go!
The next day we took a boat tour to visit Maya bay, famous for the film ''The beach''
On our last day in Phi Phi it was pretty windy so the ride to get the ferry was pretty exciting. Tom had his leg held by a nervous german girl while I hoped my rucksac didn't fall off the front. Luckily some dolphins came to swim along side the boat to distract us and we made it back with about two minutes to spare.
Next stop Krabi, before heading north to Chiang Mai.

Hut
. This was a stunning bay but was utterly full of boat tours. After a stop to snorkel and feed the fish (hopefully the waterproof camera might have more than some pictures of Tom's arm) we headed to Monkey beach, so called because of the monkeys. The monkeys here were very tame and infarct they are fed so much that they don't get at all aggressive as they know another banana is on its way if they miss that one! They were even some little babies that took some food right from Tom's hand. After lunch on the white sand beach it was back on board for a bumpy ride to mosquito and bamboo islands for a bit more of a swim before heading home.On our last day in Phi Phi it was pretty windy so the ride to get the ferry was pretty exciting.
