WEll early in the morning we headed off on our hilltribe trek. We drove up into the mountains for a few hours on a winding very high up road (i was freakin out, white knuckle situation mate). on the way we stopped to visit some monkeys and a gibbon, whose name was 'ball' he was very socialble and even wanted to hug me hehe, he showe doff and we fed him . there was another little 1 year old monkey who was so cute and all over the place like a fart in the jar, sooo cheeky, but adorable and climbing all over everyone (muuuum can i have a monkey?) hehe only kidding. We started our trek from one of the more low lying villages and headed up to the lisou village on foot, the people there wear tradtional hill tribe dress. we stayed in an actual hill tribe hut, and got on the beer changs (yes i know AGAIN) the food experiences on the hill tribe trek were the best in thailand so far, our guides were real foodies and cooked us spring rolls massuman yellow curries, rice, fruit you name it, mmmmmm. Later that night the whole village cam to visit us and we all danced their traditional dance around the campfire to the tunes played by one of their men folk, playing a strange string instrument, all holding hands trying to get the moves right, and just when u thought you had the hang of it they would change to a different song which had a different set of moves arrrggghhhh. Anyway they were all very sweet. It was very cold ther that night and the next morning we rose early to find the tribe ladies had set up a wee market of their wares for us, so i bought a few bits from them.
