Well we finally got on the ground around 6am in Atlanta, and we headed to our cars for our drives home. As we loaded the cars it finally hit me that our vacation was over.    We said our goodbyes to Bill, Becky and Amanda and loaded up one last time and I looked to Alison and said "I'm really sad, I can’t believe its over ."  We arrived back in Augusta by lunch time, and I was just trying to figure out how we were going to get back in the swing of things.

Since this was my first two week vacation and definitely one of my most memorable, as I look back over the trip here are some of my biggest memories:

Best Food
-          The Crab Pot’s Shrimp Tacos
-          Breakfast in Vancouver
-          Skagway Brewery Hamburger
-          Elk on the Disney Cruise Line
-          Lobster on the Disney Cruise Line

Favorite Adventures
-          Hiking the Ho Rain Forest
-          Ketchikan’s wildlife sanctuary
-          Northwest Trek
-          Crescent Lake Lodge and throwing rocks and stick races with the kids
-          Mushing across the Juneau Glacier

-          Walking the Pacific Coast with Alison

Cruise Line Memories
-          Mickey Mouse Sneaking up on Noel at the Character Breakfast
-          Sitting on the balcony watching whales and the scenery
-          Kody running out of the pool and heading down the slide over and over
-          Noel running into the princesses
-          Kody trying to take Noel up to the characters – His favorite is Donald
-          Ice Cream any time we want it

-          “Hey boy I saw a whale” – Kody spotting a killer whale
-          “Kody did it” – Noel on just about anything that would get her in trouble
-          “I don’t want that much” – Becky as we headed through the desert buffet and she had a loaded plate
-          “Cut it for me” – Kody would ask our waiter every night when we sat down for dinner needless to say he was spoiled
-          “I wanna see Mickey Mouse ” – Noel would say in excitement as you waited in line, but when you get there she would melt down

Things I’ve Learned
-          Writing travel blogs takes a lot more time than I thought
-          No matter how few bags you pack you always seem to find a ton of souvenirs with kids
-          Cruising is awesome, but I still like having the freedom to explore on my own
-          Vampires really do exist in Washington
-          Goofy and I may be twins

Well with our adventure over and with so many memories out there this list can’t account for them all.  Until we travel again always remember “What was was, what will be is up to you”
