Well I guess I'll fast forward in the trip for the next entries.
Well after running a few errands in Augusta I headed to the airport to catch my flight to Dallas, Texas with four folks from work. We got out of the Augusta airport without any issues which was a pleasant surprise. When we finally landed in Dallas we headed to find something to eat. In the search we were able to find the Bass Pro Shop where some of our group wanted to get some shopping in for their kids. After this stop, we headed for the Salt Grass Steakhouse. If you are looking for a local chain that has great steaks and good beer I would recommend this to everyone. Once dinner was done we still had a 2 hour drive to Paris, Texas. Let's just say that there isn't much to see between Dallas and Paris, but fortunately our passengers provided enough entertainment to bring tears to my eyes. Once in Paris , we checked into the Hampton Inn and headed over to the local ice cream store, Braum's. One of the ladies in our car was looking for a cowboy, and Braum's would not disappoint with a leprechaun looking cowboy. I don't ever think we found the pot of gold in Paris.
