Hi everyone!
I'm here in London at our hotel writing this email. We arrived on the 1st (in London time) at 7am. My flight was late and customs took forever so I actually got done with all that about 8:30. My friend was waiting for me outside of customs and we hopped on a train into the city. We then went on to our hotel which is really quite nice and it is going to spoil us for the next places we stay which are hostels and probably crappy! :) We did the hop-on, hop-off bus the 1st day and saw all the sites. Yesterday we went to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and then took a train down south to Hampton Court Palace which we toured around and hung out in the gardens for a long time. I got yelled at for taking pictures inside the palace and then when I risked taking a photo again this alarm went off and my friend and I ran out of the room. :) Last night we walked over to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Since the 10th anniversary of Diana's death was on the 31st, there were all these photos and poems and things all over the outside gate. Pretty touching to see. Today we left early for Stonehenge and the town it is outside of called Salisbury. Stonehenge was amazing and Salisbury was very quaint. We went to Harrod's this evening and had fish and chips for dinner. Tomorrow we're off to Paris on the Chunnel. There's a strike here with the Underground workers so there is no transportation right now, but that's good because we're leaving. More later....miss you all.
