incredible, i was freezing down on my way to the volcano...i would've never expected to feel so cold in summer on the equator line..
got in the guesthouse and took a 30 min hot shower...
the volcano is still active, and it is possible to climb up for sunrise...but is extremely expensive as only a company of guides has the right to go up there...weird...
but i wanted to say something about the volcano...well its a double caldera volcano, which means that there is a bigger crater, now filled with a lake, and then another crater coming up from the first one..and it is the actual volcano..
in the morning i jumped on my bike and went all along the coast of the lake and i stopped at the local's hot springs (there is the rich touristy version, but i found about it only later...thank god)
at the end of the road you can climb up a hill and get to see both the lake, on one side and the ocean on the other...a pretty cool view...
then i had the bright idea to go up with my motorbike..on an incredibly steep road...the engine stopped a few times and i had problems in restarting it...i decided to go up as i wanted to go down on the other side of the hill in order not to go back on the road where i came from..and to avoid to go all the way around the volcano. well it took sometime to get up...but even more to go down.
there was no road, only narrow paths, very slippery because of sandy soil...i knew locals go up and down with their scooters, but they grow up there...for me was an incredible challenge, i though i was going to crash and die several time...but i'm here to tell the story so everything went well...but i'd raccomend not to do it!!! seriously...and as soon as i reached the paved road, i found a small shop, stopped to give a rest to my bike and grabbed a soda for myself...
i did it...
