The most beautiful City in the World?!

We, that means Diana and two friends of her, took the bus from Ouro Preto in the night. It is really cheap compared with Europe prices (50 Reais).

Diana is from Portugal and she knows somebody in Rio, so we could stay there for free, but in fact in the beginning we only have known the address, but not really where it is.

Where is Pedro?

So we arrived in Rio after only 6 hours and it was 5 am. We were really tired, so to take a night bus, which goes only 6 hours is not the best thing. So I would say the next time I will take a day bus.

We took a taxi and showed him the address. But when we arrived, by the way it was still dark and the streets were more than empty, we asked the security people at the house because of the Apartement of Pedro, but he said, that here doesn`t somebody live with that name!!

Ohh what to do?? I mean we are in a very dangerous city and it is dark and we don`t have a place to stay with all our bags. But then we had luck and he said that another house has that apartment number and so we keep walking there.

And really there lives Pedro in the 20 et age directly at the Praia de Flamengo! We had a more than beautiful view over the city and the beach.

But I was so happy to sleep some hours more and at 9 am will come the daughter of Pedro to show us the city by car.

Going by Car

We had a good breakfast and I was forced to listen and maybe even to speak some Portuguese, because they all speak this language, but not me.

Gloria, she is the daughter of Pedro and her husband are going to show us the city by car. It was a small car and we were 6 persons inside ;) So it was really warm and not really comfortable. It is not important for them. They drink alcohol and drive and it is not important if you use a seat belt or if you are ten persons in a car.

At first they drove through the city to show us everything and they told us a lot about the Favelas in the city. It is like a small city in the big city. They have even hotels and shops and a Radio station. I was amazed how many people live there and exspecially how

We also visited the Niemeyer Museum in Niteroi, the city which is on the opposite of Rio. It is a bit like the museum which I have seen in Curitiba.
