So after a great Sunday in Santiago, capped off by a sick bottle of carmenere, I was moved to do a little more blogging.  I must say that Renu and I love all the comments that you, our friends and family have posted and encourage you to keep them coming.  It means the world to us and even though we may not reply, we hope you can share in all that weīre doing and seeing (donīt get used to this frequency of posting, however).

Today was perfect.  We had a nice slow start followed by lunch and a ride up to the top of parque metropolitano (i think) on the funicular (like an elevator car that goes up the side of a hill).  We then walked our way all the way down the hill and back into the city.  There were a ton of people biking, running, driving and walking, which showed how liveable the city could be.  We capped the day off by relaxing on the hotelīs patio and sipping said bottle of wine, chatting away.

We have a newfound appreciation for the city but havenīt changed our opinion by and large.  In the words of Steven Mathias, ĻTake a good look...(īcause you ainīt coming back!!!)Ļ

Hey guys!!! Loving the updates and the pics!!! Relaxing Sunday - well deserved. It must be a terrific feeling you guys have right now...exploring the unknown...having new adventures and not in NYC. :) Keep writing and enjoying!!

It's wonderful to know where you are and to see what you see through the eye of the camera and your vivid descriptions: you seem at once so close - and yet in a completely different world of impressions. - about about that sick carmenere -- I am most certain there is better to come...

Sounds like the most perfect day!!! Can't wait to hear more. :) xxo

Everyone is writing really sweet comments, so I'll take on the roll of writing wiseass comments. :) First off, sounds like you guys are doing great and fully embracing your adventure. Second, I'm super jealous. Third, Sam, when you said there "were a ton of people biking, running, driving and walking" what mode of transportation were you expecting them to be travelling around in? Hovercraft? I mean, I've never been to Santiago so you could have totally fooled me with a line like, "Santiago is soooo futuristic, there are a ton of people flying in hovercrafts"

Harley on

You will be traveling and will be touched by the words and thoughts of many philosophers. Some philosophy is more relevant that others. Truthfully I roared out loud "hearing" it come from your Dad.. Sorry I missed you both before you left.......Take a deep breath and take it all in.
