well its been a busy and challenging time lately...
i have been delving into partying a bit the last while which has been fun and adventurous~ but not the best for my health (alcohol in general - i usually dont indulge much)... until nowadays...
a fun buddy i met early in my arrival to Hawaii is named Chad, who became a friend and we had a number of adventures together... usually making music and talking the Mayan Calendar (this guy was Hawaii's most knowledgeable source it seemed for the Dreamspell)... i also became new friends with his sweet sistar fresh from texas...
anyway unfortunately for everyone, Chad died suddenly (he OD'd on alcohol and smokin heroin)... very sad loss..
the community drew together and under the direction of his mother and sister. His mother is an Essene and had a traditional burial. His Tribe of friends here gathered in the graveyard and dug his grave by hand. His mother started out with the first opening of the earth. she dug slowly then strongly and seemed to get some energy out through the task... then she handed the shovel to friend after friend. The hole was 4 feet by 7 feet and was a full 8 feet deep!! It took 2 days and many people.
Friends followed the Essene traditions of preparing Chad's body and they annoited him with oils and wrapped his body in a shroud, then an embroidered fabric...
There was no casket for his body, he was laid out on the ground, and they opened his shroud to reveal his face to the sunlight before he was to lie under the earth...
his face was wrapped again and after everyone took turns saying a few words,he was lowered by ropes by 4 friends into the grave, while his mother and a number of women sang...
Chad was friendly with many kids and many showed up to his service and cried... his mother told me that it made her cry to see the little ones so sad... she said she hoped everyone would learn Chad's lesson that there are boundaries in this dimension that need to be respected...
we planted orchids and pineapples in the top of his grave, covered it with King Palms and flowers... it was beautiful really but definately a bit sad..
his mom and sistar were strong but his mom told me that when everyones gone she gets real sad and breaks down... she's very kind and i could see the deep sadness in her blue eyes... she says she feels deeply changed...
it has had a deep effect on me... made me again appreciate the fragile momentary flicker called Life we are blessed with... made me think about my friends, who i love, my family, my own death, what kind of funeral ceremony my friends/family would do if i died...
we had a big celebration party at the ocean in honour of his life the night after his burial... 4 bands played and many others jammed... everyone had a drink for Chad... his sister and mom were impressed with how many folks came out and shared their love for Chad...
in conjunction with this event i also experienced a negative time with the guys i was staying with on their land in Hawaiian Acres... its unfortunate and i got jerked outa about a hundred bucks... i trusted the untrustworthy and gave of myself to those who didnt appreciate me nor repect me..
whats awesome is that Spirit had guided me to an awesome Oldtimer named Joelle (he's part french-canadian -yay) who has land and cabins who wanted me to come to live on his land (so i had persued this path before even the worst of my betrayal at Hawaiian Acres)... as the wrost went down, i went to a sweet situation where i am a gardener and trading to stay in the nicest of his 9 cottages... 2 stories tall, mostly screen walls, solar panels, outdoor showers, private, quiet, all newly renovated as well... SWEET! and next door is Pangaia and Coco's!! cool! down the road is Kalawni retreat center and Kehenna beach (nude beach)...
joelle's land has bananas, guavas, papayas, avocados, coconuts, lots of fruit, but little veggies so i am there to build beds, compost, plant and help them prepare the land for self-sufficiency...
so i am nopw journeying with a vision to help out on Joelle's farm for 6 months and stay in that sweet rockin cottage in Kapoho in Paradise!! he wants me to perhaps take on the responsibilities of being the land's "manager" while he holidays this summer... hes 66 and surfs like mad all over the different hawaiian islands...
i love how sweet my life continues to be and how Spirit is guiding me towards the Light always always always...
Happy 4/20 ! Happy Earth Day!! (22nd)

carving in Wai'Pei'o Valley
. he recently said a couple weeks ago that he wanted to try heroin as something "new" to get high on... but he was overweight and was also drinking and it stopped his heart when he smoked too much of it... the community drew together and under the direction of his mother and sister.
