We head for the Valley of the Kings this day... the15th... Wi'i'peo (spelling?)... Me julia and jesse stand at teh lookout and decide to hike down the valley and look for the highest waterfalls in Hawaii... we hike down a super steep road thats gonna be hell to climb up.. we decide we will hitchhike up later...

when we get to the bottom we see we have found a incredibly lush rainforest... farmers throughout the valley buts its rugged and humid... muddy and flowing waters over the roads everywhere... we cross a stream and head deeper into the jungle... flowers everywhere.. wild horses munching gardens (that apparently sometimes getshot for eating famers' gardens!)... waterfalls, mud, fruit, jungle jungle jungle...

a man in a jeep-like golf cart offers us a ride to the falls (3 hour hike away) so we take it!!.. driving thru valley streams in the jeep

. and we get a crazy bumpy ride thru rivers of mud -- im sooo glad we decided not to hike this bacteria infested waters with soo many roads we would have never found our way to the falls!!

its amazingly beautiful -- i cant describe it!! jungle like none ive seen here... giant trees im amazed by... crazy garden farms and jungle houses...

after we go full circle to the falls and hike back out to the ocean, we end up at the beach... it starts to storm and teh waves are madness! a local hawaiian encourages the tourists to jump into the strong waves... im too intimidated as the waves nearly knock me over and drag me out... my feet sink into the sand as the waves recede... its dangerous and fun at the same time...

we finish the trip, exhilerated and tired!!
