After Finland it was the place I was most looking forward too, having heard a lot of times it is the most beautiful city in the world. But when I got out from the train I was quite disappointed. After finding a place to stay, I wandered around the 'new' town, around the old town and still could find nothing special. But Praha is like the Ginsu knives commercial - it never ends, there is always more and more and more. Have you seen the astronomical clock? That's not all! The national museum? The Charles bridge? That's not all! The overview from the Petrin tower? The Vysehrad? The castle? That's not all! The gardens under the castle? The St. Vitus cathedral? The St. Nicholas' church? The Wallenstein palace? Still that is not all!
You might not like Praha at first sight, but it is big and everything about it is beautiful, so if you stay long enough it will sooner or later overwhelm you
The answer to my question I found in the third day - Praha is alive under the morning mist. When the tourists sleep, you can feel the city and hear its sigh. Enjoy while you can, in some hours it will be dead again, trampled by the tourist herds...
Praha is overcrowded and is overhyped, but in the end it still is the most beautiful city I have ever seen.
Getting ready to fly to my surprise destination (it was a surprise even to me!)
