Today we went to the Casco Viejo area of Panama City, this area is much older and it was nice to walk around and check out the history and buildings.  We visited the San Jose church which has a alter made from mahogony which is then covered in gold leaf, pretty impressive and apparently it survived the pirate invasions because a priest covered it in mud to hide the gold.  We walked along the sea front and saw lots of Kuna molas (stiched artwork) and could see the ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal.

There was a great view of the City skyline from Casco Viejo too.
