What I did
Ellenborough Falls, Wingham
. (Its now fenced in as a young kid died falling down the side of the falls very sad) then went down hundreds of stairs to the bottom of the falls. Thru fern covered grounds with moss & fungai covered logs just gorgious. A little fairy wonderland. After I took my fill of photographs we did the exhausting walk back to the top. Jay & Bella bolted up while Braiden & I took our time slowly slowly walking up the stairs. A friendly scrub turkey greeted us when we arrived back at our car. On the way home again spotted another goanna in the grass. Took some photos of a spooky looking church built in 1874. Then stopped off at an great looking park at Wingham where the kids patted a horse & we watched a large train go by. We then headed for food which was a take away bucket of KFC & found a lovely picnic spot next to a river. We had a great day.
Today we decided to go for a bit of a long drive out to Ellenborough Falls. It turned out to be an even longer drive as the direct road in was closed for a couple more hours due to road works so we could either wait another 2hrs or to take the long scenic drive threw the national park to get to the Falls. We decided the latter which turned out to be a beautiful drive. We crossed over some lovely streams over old wooden bridges & wasn't long into our journey when we came across a goanna crossing the road & headed up a tree. We saw some old mining relics & took another short detour onto another dirt road to another lookout which didn't turn out as the road was closed so we had to turn around. We spotted the beautiful black cockatoo in a tree & the area was covered in ferns. About an hour later we arrived at Ellenborough Falls it is the longest single drop waterfall in Australia & it didn't dissappoint. This area is beautiful & the waterfall spectacular. We did a short walk to the top of the falls took some photographs
