. We spent a couple of hours here looking at Australian animals, the huge alligator lake filled with very large alligators which looked hungry as they swam towards us when we were walking along the path. I think they thought we were lunch. We looked thru the fantastic reptile house this was well set up enclosures with big statues of snakes throughout. Then into the spider house with its huge mechanical funnelweb spider, as well as many live spiders behind glass & of course the outdoor dunny with its red back spider. We had a great time here posing for photos with the many statues. When we left the Reptile Park we went in search of the Big Yellow Dinosaur to have a Big Thing photo. It took us awhile to find it driving around many roads treking down bush tracks we were about to give up & drive home when lo & behold beside the road on the way out nearly right next to the Park road we looked up & there he was but it was up a very steep rock face which didn't stop us like billy goats we clambered up the side of the hill to get another Big Thing photo for our collection. Then we headed for home & relaxed via the pool for the rest of the day.
After a restless night sleep with the heat we woke up hearing some kids outside our van trying to attract birds. We also heard lots of lorikeets screaching. So we climbed out of bed & went to investigate. Wow there was alot of them. So to cheat abit to get there attention we got some bread & spread with strawberry jam. This worked a treat we soon were surrounded by them eventually they were brave enough to jump all over us. This is such a cool thing to experience. We also discovered a family of ducks with some cute little ducklings in tow. We spent quite awhile feeding the birds before we dragged ourselves away & cooked bacon & eggs for breaky. After all was eaten & cleaned we headed for the Australian Reptile Park. For years I have been meaning to take the kids here. We see the great big yellow Dinosaur on the highway advertising it everytime we drive up the coast but time got away from us & we never seemed to go, that is until today. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the Big Frilled Neck Lizard statue welcoming you threw the gates. Then in the entry is a huge crocodile
