Where I stayed
Pre- 1st Day: The girls were convincing me to stay over at Apple's house on Friday night just so I don't have to wake up early in the morning to meet up with them at her place. Vynna picked me up at 8pm and we headed out to Apple's house. Friday is normally Marco-Rhea skype day since that's the only time that we're both free so Marco was kind of upset that we weren't skype-ing that night, not that he wasn't already upset with the fact that our wifi has not been working for more than a month now so we weren't really talking properly
1st Day: In a few hours we were scheduled to leave for New Braunfels (it's a 3-4 hour drive) but we had to wait for a bunch of our friends coming straight from work (yeah, night shifts). I was actually surprised that we were a lot, I expected around 5 or 7 people but we ended up with like 12 or something like that. So there was Apple, GB, Jasna, Chris, Vynna, Me, Drew, Hessa, Roxi, Ice, Canuto, Ersie, Ron, George and Juan. (did I miss anyone?) Our first stop had to be McDonald's right? for breakfast and then another stop over at a McDonald's for lunch and then a bank just so we can deposit the money that we owed Chris for the room that he booked for us at the Hawthorne. I swear if we stopped by another McDonald's I would have thrown up...super size me much? Finally we headed straigh to New Braunfels and ofcourse it had to be traffic like every single person in Texas planned to go tubing this weekend. We got there around 2:30 or 3-ish and we planned to rent tubes from Abbott's River Rentals or something like that but they ran out of the tubes with the bases so we ended up going to the one right next to it. I totally forgot the name but they were very accomodating. Its $15 per tube with or without base and you have the option to go for the 2- hour or 4-hour tubing thing
2nd Day: Reservations were made for The Oasis Restaurant, a definite must see. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the food probably because what I got was not one of their specials but the view is just a sight to see. The Oasis is actually a restaurant situated (on top) by Lake Travis (Sunset Capital of Texas) and its known for the beautiful sunset in the area, one of the best from what I heard. The ambiance of the place was also impressive, that's probably one of the reasons why its always packed. Ambiance+View+Food=wonderful Brunch in Austin. A trip with a LOT of girls isn't complete without shopping so we definitely had to make a stop at San Marcos Outlet Mall and shopped the rest of the day. Since we took different cars, we didn't really wait up for each other, the rest went ahead and some stayed to finish up the Victoria's Secret Grand Sale.
